Something’s been off for a while, hasn’t it…
Maybe your cycle has changed and nobody seems concerned. Maybe you’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t touch. Maybe your skin has turned on you, or your digestion shifts with every stressful week, or the headaches have become normal enough that you’ve stopped mentioning them. Maybe you’ve been thinking about trying for a baby — this year, or in a few years’ time — and you’d rather go in prepared than hopeful. Maybe you’ve had a loss, and you want to do things differently this time.
You may have been told your results are normal. That can be reassuring, but it doesn’t always explain why you still don’t feel quite like yourself. Traditional Chinese medicine gives me another way of looking at the whole picture — exploring patterns across your symptoms, cycle, sleep, digestion, stress and general wellbeing rather than treating each concern as though it exists on its own.
I’m Charlie, acupuncturist and the founder of Alchemē. I have a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, LicAc, and a postgraduate diploma in Fertility & Obstetrics. I work across women’s health, including hormonal and menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, alongside stress, anxiety and sleep, digestion, skin, headaches and long-term fatigue. Often several of these things overlap, because that’s how health tends to show up in real life.
Most of the women I see are new to acupuncture. Some are nervous about needles, some have tried a great deal already and some arrive fairly unconvinced.
All of that is welcome in the room, and none of it needs sorting out before you book.
What can I help with?
You don’t need to know which treatment you need before you come.
You might come with one thing in mind, or several that seem completely unrelated. Either is fine — we’ll start with what’s going on for you.
✧ Hormonal & menstrual health
Changing cycles, difficult periods, PMS and the shifts that can come with perimenopause.
✧ Fertility & reproductive health
Preparing for pregnancy, support alongside fertility treatment, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
✧ Stress, sleep & emotional wellbeing
Stress, anxiety, poor sleep, feeling depleted and the physical effects of carrying too much for too long.
✧ Skin & facial health
A considered approach to skin through facial acupuncture, microneedling and whole-person care.
✧ Pain, headaches & muscular tension
Headaches, tight shoulders, persistent tension, aches and post-training soreness.
My Services
Different ways to support your health, depending on what brings you through the door.
-
Whole-person treatment that considers your symptoms alongside the wider picture — from your cycle, sleep and digestion to stress, energy and general wellbeing. Treatment is individual to you rather than based on a one-size-fits-all protocol.
-
Focused treatment for muscular tension, tight shoulders and post-training soreness. A more targeted option if tension and tightness are the main reason you’re coming in, rather than part of a wider health picture.
-
A whole-person approach to skin health, combining facial acupuncture with the wider principles of traditional Chinese medicine. For those looking to support their skin, facial tension and overall wellbeing without chasing unrealistic promises or perfection.
-
A more targeted approach to skin renewal, for concerns such as uneven texture, fine lines and the appearance of acne scarring. For those looking for focused skin treatment while keeping the approach considered, realistic and free from exaggerated promises.

A different kind of care
Too many women know what it feels like to have one part of their health looked at while everything else gets left outside the room. A symptom is discussed, a result comes back normal, or there simply isn’t enough time to explore how the pieces might connect.
I don’t think you should have to separate your health into neat little boxes. When you tell me your shoulders have been locked for months, I want to know what else has been going on — with your cycle, sleep, digestion, stress and energy — because those things don’t exist in isolation.
Whatever’s going on for you — physically or emotionally — belongs in the same conversation. I’m interested in the wider picture, not just the part that happens to fit neatly into an appointment type.
My approach draws on traditional Chinese medicine alongside an evidence-informed understanding of the body. No pseudoscience, no pressure — just thoughtful, individual care and a clear sense of what comes next..
