Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine
A personalised consultation and treatment, built around what’s actually going on for you — not a fixed protocol.
What is it?
This is the heart of what I do: a full consultation followed by treatment drawn from traditional Chinese medicine and an evidence-informed understanding of the body. Depending on what’s going on for you, that might include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tuina massage, and lifestyle or dietary guidance you can actually use.
I don’t start with a template. I start with a conversation — about your body, your history, and whatever’s been sitting underneath the symptom that brought you in.
Who it’s for
Women navigating hormonal changes, fertility preparation, pregnancy or postpartum recovery, stress and nervous-system overwhelm, or symptoms that have been dismissed as “normal” without ever being properly looked at. Most of the people I see are new to acupuncture, some are nervous about needles, and that’s completely normal to bring into the room.
What to expect
Your first session is an initial consultation: a proper conversation about your health history and what’s going on now, followed by treatment on the same visit where appropriate. Follow-up sessions build on that picture over time — Chinese medicine tends to work cumulatively rather than in one hit, so we’ll talk honestly about pacing and what a realistic plan looks like for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Most of the women I work with are completely new to this. You don’t need to arrive knowing any terminology or having read anything — that’s my job to explain as we go.
-
Acupuncture needles are much finer than the ones used for injections or blood tests. Most people find it far more comfortable than they expect. Being nervous about needles is one of the most common things I hear, and it’s completely fine to tell me — I’ll always check in with you as we go.
-
That depends on what we’re working with, and I’d rather not give you a number before I’ve met you. Chinese medicine tends to work cumulatively, so I’ll give you an honest, realistic picture after your first consultation.
-
Something comfortable and easy to move in. Depending on the treatment I may need access to your arms, lower legs or back, and there’s always privacy and towels if you need to undress.
-
Your first visit is longer than a follow-up, because we spend proper time on your history before any treatment begins. I’ll confirm timings with you when you book, so you can plan your day around it.
-
Yes, and it’s a significant part of my work — I hold a postgraduate diploma in Fertility & Obstetrics. Tell me where you are in your pregnancy when you book, so I can plan the session appropriately.
Ready when you are.
Send me a message and tell me what’s going on. No pressure, no script — I’ll tell you honestly whether I think I can help.
Not sure which is right for you?
If you’re not certain where to start, send me a message and tell me what’s going on. I’d rather point you to the right appointment than have you guess.
