Microneedling
Professional microneedling at controlled depths, for the appearance of texture, fine lines and acne scarring.
What is it?
Microneedling uses a device with very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, which supports the skin’s own renewal process. The depth is chosen for your skin and the area being treated — this is why it matters that it’s done by someone trained rather than with a roller at home.
It’s used for the appearance of uneven texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and acne scarring. I’m careful about what I promise here: results vary between people, they build over a course rather than arriving after one session.
Who is it for?
Anyone with skin concerns that have proved stubborn
Post-acne scarring
Texture that doesn’t respond to skincare
Fine lines you’d like to soften
People who have tried a long list of products and want something that works at a different level.
What to expect
We start with a consultation about your skin, your history and anything that would make treatment unsuitable, so I can set the depth and plan a sensible course. Your skin is cleansed and a numbing cream applied before treatment. Afterwards your skin will look flushed, similar to sunburn, usually settling over 24 to 48 hours. I’ll send you home knowing exactly what to use, what to avoid, and when — sun protection is not optional afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Plan for one to two days of looking flushed. Most people are comfortable going about their week, but I’d avoid booking it the day before an event.
-
A numbing cream is applied before we start. Most people describe the sensation as prickly rather than painful, more noticeable over bony areas like the forehead and jawline.
-
It depends on what we’re working with. Microneedling builds over a course rather than in one visit, and sessions are spaced several weeks apart to let the skin recover between them. I’ll give you a realistic plan after seeing your skin, not before.
-
No. There are skin conditions, medications and stages of life where I wouldn’t treat, including pregnancy. That’s what the consultation is for — if it isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you and we’ll look at what is.
-
Yes, though not usually on the same day. Some people alternate them across a course. We can plan it together so your skin has time to recover between treatments.
Ready when you are.
Send me a message and tell me what’s going on. No pressure, no script — I’ll tell you honestly whether I think I can help.
Not sure which is right for you?
If you’re not certain where to start, send me a message and tell me what’s going on. I’d rather point you to the right appointment than have you guess.
